HOW TO SPECIFY ALVIN PIPE AND TUBE CLAMPS To make sure your project or design (railings, racks and structures) is constructed with the ALVIN advantage please use the following specification. Your project shall be constructed with malleable cast iron slip-on fittings conforming to Ferric S.G. Iron to grade 420/12 and black heart malleable BS 340/12 . All fittings shall be securely fastened to the pipe with zinc plated or fluorocarbon, case hardened sharp cup-point set screws.
